You will master the art of Data with Power BI and SQL

This is a Live 10-weekend program covering beginner to advanced concepts of Data Analysis, Data Visualization with Microsoft Power BI, and Database Querying with SQL.

You will be required to take our self-paced Excel Courses as foundational pre-requisites (Except of course you are already an Excel Guru. Most people are not 😁. We will give you free access to the Excel courses).

Power BI is a leading Business Intelligence and Data Analytics tool used by most organizations and consultants to deliver key business insights derived from Data.

Similarly, organizations transactional datasets are stored in SQL Databases.

In this program, you will gain proficiency with Microsoft Power BI and Querying SQL Server with T-SQL.

The Power BI Class will run for 7 weekends and the SQL Class will run for 3 weekends.

There will be a 1-weekend break between both classes.

In this program, you will learn beginner to advanced Power BI and SQL concepts including:

  • Connecting to data sources & preparing data in Power BI

  • Understanding Fact and Dimension Tables and Power BI Data Modeling

  • Developing highly interactive Power BI Reports

  • Writing Power BI DAX formulas

  • Using SELECT statement to Query Databases

  • Filtering and Ordering Database Queries

  • Querying data from multiple Database Tables with JOINS

  • Using Built-in SQL functions

  • Do I need to have previous experience to join the class?

    If you know how to operate a Windows Computer, open and close applications, download things, then you can participate in the class as the instructor considers participants with zero prior technical knowledge. You will also be given access to our self-paced beginner to advanced Microsoft Excel course once you sign up to the program.

  • I am a complete novice and not sure if I can cope with the class

  • What type of Laptop can I use? Can I use a Macbook?

    Microsoft Power BI Desktop and SQL Server are the primary applications for this course and are only available on Windows Computers. A Windows computer with Windows 10 OS. The higher the specs, the better.

  • Will I get a Certificate for this course?

    On completion of the course, you will have 2 Certificates of Completion. One for Power BI and one for SQL.

  • What if I am unable to attend a class for important reasons?

    All the classes are recorded and the recordings will be shared with registered participants

  • How long will the class recordings be available for?

    All classes will be recorded and archived on our LMS. You will have lifetime access to the LMS and all class recordings.
